Manage Your Weight for Increased Energy!!!

Thursday, March 25th, 2010 by admin

Yesterday I posted on facebook that I had dropped 10 pounds of weight that was no longer serving me. I did it in a 3 week period of time. I had put on weight over the past year with the stress of splitting with my husband.

I decided that it was time to go! Weight Be-Gone!!!

Having a background in fitness and nutrition helped a lot and I want to share a couple of my strategies with you. By the way, having optimal health is important in business. You need energy to work a business and when you are out and about meeting people, you want to feel good about yourself as well.

Here are a few of my tricks of the trade:

First I went on a thirty day Isagenix plan. You can read about the plan on my Isagenix website (yes I am a distributor of their products). I like to dress up my protein drinks so here are two recipes that I have created:

Isagenix Vanilla Frappachinno Protein Shake

1 Cup of Coffee (could use instant coffee crystals as well)
1/4 cup of water
2 scoops Isagenix Isalean Vanilla Shake Mix
1/2 scoop IsaPro Whey Protein Powder
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (I like the Schilling cinnamon grinder for fresh ground cinnamon)

Put it altogether in a blender or shaker and mix well. (I use a Magic Bullet)

Isagenix Super Antioxidant Chocolate Protein Shake

1 1/4 cups of water
2 scoops Isagenix Isalean Chocolate Protein Shake Mix
1/2 scoop Isagenix IsaPro whey protein
1 tablespoon organic cocoa powder
1 small handful of fresh blueberries

Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix well. You must have a blender or a Magic Bullet type blender to chop up the blueberries. I shaker will not work.

Another strategy I used was my Hypnosis for Weight Loss and Optimal Health audio program and workbook. Listen to it at night before you go to sleep and first thing in the morning as you awaken for maximum results. Use the workbook to set your goal and keep track of your food with the diary. You can purchase it in my store on my information products page.

I will share some more of my weight loss secrets in another post.

Annette

Stop Waiting!!!

Thursday, March 11th, 2010 by admin

I was looking for some inspiration to guide me today so I randomly pulled a book from my bookshelf and opened to a page where this quote jumped out at me:

“Don’t wait and hope for the one thing, the one person, the one event, that will change your life, plumment you into the future and the life you desire. Instead remember that each moment in time brings change, evolution and transformation.” –Melody Beattie from her book Journey to the Heart.

How many times do we do this in our business? Wait and hope for that one thing that is going to propel us into success. We must honor every moment, every idea, every intention and every action that we take. This is where the seeds of success are planted, watered and nurtured.

I really cannot tell you how many times I have read the daily meditations and guidance in this book. I am going to put it on my reading table and begin reading it again tomorrow.

Paint the Day

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 by admin

I love to read in the morning and do my journaling. Yesterday was a rough day for me as I faced some financial challenges that I am experiencing due to divorce and I was writing in my journal this morning to shift my energy.

Suddenly, I noticed the walls in the room take on a pink hugh. I turned around in my chair to see a glimpse of the sunrise out my kitchen window. I have a large picture window in the kitchen/dining room of the house that I rented. It faces east and I can see the entire view of the Wasatch Mountains across the entire Salt Lake Valley from the window.

I went to the kitchen window and opened the sheers and basked in the glow of the sunrise over the mountains. The thought occurred to me that I get to create my day.

One thing I always know is that the sun will rise in the morning. No matter the challenges of the day before or what is going on in my life. Another thing that I know is that every day when I awake, I have a fresh canvas to paint a new day. We are the artists and can create something new everyday.

It is a choice. We can swirl in the painting of yesterday or paint a new reality for today. What do you chose? I am enjoying painting a new day today!

Critical Connections

Monday, March 1st, 2010 by admin

Last night was the closing ceremonies of the Olympics and after having watched the Olympics for most of its duration, I really wanted to watch the ceremonies. I had been in at a women’s conference all weekend (which was absolutely mind blowing) and I just wanted to mook in front of the tube and chill.

It had been a crazy weekend of connecting with other women, listening to fabulous speakers who in many cases moved me to tears, and a late night business meeting with Lisa Nichols. I was fried!!!

My son came upstairs from his cave in the basement for dinner and was telling me about a day of UFO specials on the History Channel. He was telling me that one was starting on USOs. What the hell is a USO? I had never heard of them…duh!

I let him change the channel and even though I wanted to watch the Olympics, it was more important to spend the time with my son and make that critical connection, especially after being gone all weekend. And I can tell you that the show was so much more interesting than the Olympics and totally stimulating.

It goes right along with Ancient Alien theories as written about in the book “Chariots of the Gods”. It was fascinating and now my son and I have another interest that keeps us connected.

I made the right choice!

What can you do this week to make critical connections with those who are most important to you? It’s all part of the balancing act we call life.

Namaste,

Annette
