Most business owners start their own business based on their passion for what it is they do. Unfortunately, it takes much more than passion to build a successful business. You must have a specific vision for what it is you want your business to accomplish and the direction you want to take to produce the results you expect your business to achieve.

Thought is the most powerful force in the universe. Our thoughts are the controlling factor in what we manifest and create in our lives. Use your thoughts to create a specific vision for your business and then apply the right strategies and tactics to grow and develop that business.

What you need to know…

Creating a millionaires mindset requires action on your part. You must create a mindset that’s focused on performing your highest impact and highest income-producing activities on a daily basis.

If you’re not happy with your business’s current results, then ask yourself a question and be brutally honest as you answer it. WHY are you getting such poor results? WHY are you failing to attract clients? WHY are you attracting the wrong clients? WHY are you failing to generate the revenue and profits you expect from your business?

One of the things that we have found over the years is that people who are broke, struggling or just getting by – don’t think the same way as people who are financially abundant. They don’t believe the same things as financially challenged people do, and therefore they don’t behave the same way. In short, they take different actions.

Our E-Learning Marketing System™ can help you change your mind and take different actions. But don’t take our word for it. Let me show you right now how a business owner can change the way they think about their business… and do so in such a way that it creates a dramatic increase in effectiveness and revenue visit http://badassinbusinessacademy.com/guidedtour for a Test Drive.

Have you ever experienced a plateau in your health or fitness even when you are working so hard to succeed? It can be frustrating and can leave you feeling defeated with the urge to give up on or retreat from your goals. I was experiencing that with my health and fitness goals until recently when I made the decision to do something different. It made me realize the same thing can happen in life and business. No matter how hard you are working to achieve your goals, you may hit periods of plateaus that are difficult to break though.

Perhaps you are not getting the traction that you want for the effort you are putting out in sales and marketing. It may be that you have hit a financial plateau yet you have been working to hit a higher financial or revenue goal. Maybe it’s an energy plateau; no matter how hard you try, you run out of energy and do not get everything done you want to accomplish. Or it may be a health goal that you are working hard on to break through a plateau.

Here are 4 things you can do to bust through that stubborn plateau.

  • Switch up your routine. Just as with fitness goals, shaking up your daily routine can help you bust through a stubborn plateau. It’s so easy to get into the same habits day after day. Whether it is a lifestyle routine or a work routine, periodically switching up your routine can bring the energy and focus needed to break through.
  • Take care of your health. Be sure that you are getting the proper amount of sleep and maybe switch up your routine such as go to bed an hour early and get up and hour early or avoiding alcohol in the evening or caffeine in the afternoon. Also, what you put into your mouth will affect your energy during the day and your brain power. Modify your diet to support your health and your goals. And of course, exercise releases the feel- good endorphins to create greater energy reserves as your push through your goals.
  • Supersets! In the world of strength training and body building, a concept called supersets is a way to break through fitness plateaus. This can be applied to life and business as well. Basically a superset is doing back to back exercises without resting. You can do this with your to-do list. Plan out your daily activities, and then do them back to back without the distraction of a break. I generally suggest working for 50-55 minutes then taking a break but when you are supersetting, you would want to double or triple your time before you take a break. This is not something you want to make a habit, yet doing it for a week or two my break you loose from the plateau.
  • Get support. If you are struggling to break through a plateau, get support. Find an accountability partner, hire a coach or engage a friend or co-worker. A coach can really assist you to see where your sticking point is and give your strategies to break through as well as hold you accountable. If you would like support from me as a coach, email me at Annette@annettepieper.com

Busting through a plateau can be a challenge because it takes us out of our comfort zone and requires us to do something different. Many people want the results yet do not want to do the work. I highly suggest putting in the work or effort to get a different result and don’t hesitate to contact me if you are ready to invest in coaching support.

These are challenging times! We are being bombarded with this message from every angle, personally and financially and it seems that uncertainty is the prominent energy. When this message comes into our awareness we have a choice; we can be victimized by the current circumstances or we can view this challenge as an opportunity to practice prosperity and wealth consciousness. When you are caught up in the doom and gloom and social consciousness about the state of our economy and where the new POTUS is leading us (as many are at the change of leadership) you will attract more of the doom and gloom.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said “The only thing that can grow is the thing that you give energy to”. I would like to invite you to give your thought energy to having a Wealth Mindset.

How do you cultivate the Wealth Mindset? First become aware of the information you choose to take in and avoid the constantly negative news. Many people watch the news right before going to bed but let me ask you something? Are the negative conditions of the world the last thing that you want planted into your mind before you go to bed? Your unconscious mind never sleeps so what you put in your mind right before bed is what you give your unconscious mind to focus on all night. Implant your mind with thoughts of gratitude, prosperity and abundance instead.

The second way to cultivate the Wealth Mindset is through gratitude. Be grateful for where you are right now. Whether you are employed, unemployed, in business for yourself, or a stay-at-home parent, there is a gift and an opportunity where you are right now in your life and when you express gratitude, it opens you up to recognize the gifts.

The third way is to look for opportunities. There is opportunity everywhere. In challenging times like these, the entrepreneurial spirit is awakened. There is no greater time than the present to start a business. The greatest wealth in America is rooted in tough periods in history. An entrepreneurial venture is not always about starting a huge corporation. It may be as simple as starting a housekeeping service, a lawn mowing service or working as an independent representative in a Multi-level Marketing company.

prosperity

In these challenging times it is the entrepreneurial spirit and the true ingenuity of the people that provide the change in the economy. Begin asking yourself what you can do to create your own economy that will assist in uplifting the global economy?

President Obama gave us the call to action in his 2009 inaugural speech and I would like to end with a quote that calls upon us all to step up to the plate and it’s as relevant today as it was then.

“In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted – for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things – some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom…”
–President Barak Obama

Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a teacher or a rock star. I didn’t have any plans or ideas on how that would manifest in my life, it was just a childhood dream. I wanted to help others by teaching them. Fast forward many years later I got a job working at a semiconductor plant first in manufacturing and then as an assistant engineer.

I have always been attracted to energy. Growing up, my dad was an electrician so energy and power were always in the conversation and I used to watch my dad repair TV’s or mess with the wiring in the house. Years later when I began working in the electronic and semiconductor industries, once again I was wading in the energy arena. I was great at what I did and I did do a lot of teaching and training with my job but there was something missing. Even though I had been in the industry for over 20 years, it didn’t feel like what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Dad and me 001

Then a health issue got me started on studying health and fitness and how to heal what was going on in my body. Suddenly co-workers began showing up in my cubicle for advice on wellness. Then a marriage crisis sent me delving into personal development, the energy and healing arts and understanding psychology. I continued to attract people to my cubicle for advice on life issues and that’s when I felt the call; the call to step out of the corporate world and into coaching and training. That was in 2002 and I have never looked back.

Even though my businesses have evolved from being a lifestyle and fitness coach to being a business success coach and trainer, my love for energy and power is at the core of all that I do. I call it your Soul Power; your inner game. I love helping clients create strategies and systems and yet your Soul Power is what gets the strategy done and if you are leaking energy, strategies suffer.

In the semiconductor industry when the integrated circuit is being manufactured, the slightest shift in the process could cause the circuit to fail by causing an energy leak. When I worked in new technology development and failure analysis engineering, it was my job to find the power or energy leaks in the circuits that were failing through the process of reverse engineering. Then I would write reports on the cause and probable solution.

I do the same thing with clients. We reverse engineer what is not working to identify the shifts or turns that have caused the power leaks and come up with the strategies to plug them so they are not losing energy all while creating innovative strategies to grow their business. I guess when it comes right down to it I am still an engineer now working in the field of life and business with the focus on power, energy and human potential. AND I am finally fulfilling my teaching/coaching and rock star dreams because I truly rock at what I do (or so I am told by my clients) and I feel like a rock star when I am speaking on stage because I am so passionate about it.

We all have the power to take what we love to do, use skills we have used in the past and integrate them to serve others. And isn’t that what we are here to do; serve for the greater whole. Even if we don’t feel that our past skills and the dream of what we truly want to do are connected, I bet if you dig deep enough you will find that the gold veins run together and can create even more than you have ever imagined possible. Follow your dreams!

Namaste,

Annette

Well, here we are again, ready to begin a new calendar year. Resolutions are on the minds of many. I believe that it is very important to set intentions and goals and resolve to make changes at the beginning of the year and set our course for the coming months. Another valuable tool to incorporate at the beginning of the year is to give the year a theme.

Intention2

A theme allows you to set your intention for the coming year and holds the space to achieve your goals. Some examples would be Live Big, Living with Heart, Light the Fire Within, Playing to Win or Sharing and Caring. It can be One Word like Thrive, Transformation, Shine, Elevate or another word that suits your fancy. Here are some key questions to ask yourself and tips to help you create your theme:

  • Who do I want to be in this New Year?
  • What do I want the next 12 months to be for me?
  • What inspires me?
  • What energizes me?
  • What lights my inner fire?
  • What goals and dreams am I currently manifesting?
  • Keep your theme short; one to five words will work best.
  • Feel the phrase; use words that bring up an emotional response in you.
  • Think of words that describe where you are at and where you want to go.
  • What words support you or inspire you?
  • Let the theme come from deep inside, from your universal connection.
  • Have fun with it, get creative and feel the magic of a new beginning.
  • Perhaps add a subtitle to power it up even more.

Write your theme down and post it somewhere that is visible daily. You could also draw or paint a symbol or picture that represents your theme and post it. Create a Vision Board to represent what you are creating during the year and put your theme on your board. Verbally repeat your theme often. By writing or drawing it, saying it aloud and posting it where you can visually see it daily, you will fully integrate your theme into your life.

“And now let us welcome the New Year full of things that have never been.” –Rainer Maria Rilke
